Available Horses for adoption

The horses on this page are all available for adoption and housed here at the rescue, in NJ. They have come to us starved, abused, neglected or unwanted and are in varying degrees of rehabilitation. They have all fought hard to overcome health and emotional issues, so they must be placed with a suitable "forever" home. They may also be leased on-site as a trial run or until a suitable home is found.
HOW THE ADOPTION PROCESS WORKS
An adoption application must be completed and approved prior to being considered for one of these horses. Click here for an application, which can be emailed or mailed back to us after completion.
You must come and meet the horse if you are local. If you decide this is the horse for you and the horse agrees, a $100.00 non-refundable deposit must be given. (Contrary to sales, adoptions do not go out on trial or leased off-property, unless prior petition has been made and approved by the President).
A placement agreement is then completed, signed and payment made. If a horse is registered, you will receive a copy of his/her registration papers. If you plan on showing, co-ownership is retained by the Rescue. Pick-up or transportation arrangements must be within 14 days of adoption. Longer stays may be arranged with board charges, or on-site leases can be available as a trial period.

Belle (*Needs a Halo)
Young, pretty, bay Arab mare, Belle, with no white. Been backed. She currently is in training and has tons of potential. Adoption fee (to increase with training) $500.00
Julie MB (*Needs a Halo)
Julie is a 9yr old Arab mare. She was ridden through the auction and that video is a testament to her temperament. Around 14.3hds, she is a beautiful bay with no white. Has not been evaluated under saddle yet. Adoption Fee $600 to increase with evaluation and training.
Pandora's Box (*Needs a Halo)
Pandora is a cute, sweet 14.2hd pony who will excel at dressage to the highest levels. This girl can move. Started under saddle and coming along nicely, she would make your next best show buddy. A 5yr old Andalusian/Morgan cross, she is a beautiful steel grey with flowing mane & tail. UTD on everything, micro-chipped and ready to go.

Bas Relief (*Needs a Halo)
VLiam is a very sweet, trusting, 3yr old Arab gelding. This is the sweetest, laid back guy on the farm. Started under saddle, this guy is unflappable. Willing to please, he takes everything in his stride. He will make a great CTR or endurance prospect, as well as a cute trail companion. Adoption Fee $650.00 (to increase with training)
FNF Fyrrari (*Needs a Halo)
Fyrrari is a cute, adorable gelding. At 2 1/2, he is just where he ought to be with his manners and handling. Should mature to be around 14.3hds and will make a wonderful AOTR in either English Pleasure or CEP. Come and meet this little sweetie and you'll fall in love.

Bocce is a 6yr old gorgeous Bucksking QH. She is very sweet and quick to learn. Under saddle and ready to go on some trail rides, she is up to finishing in the new job of your choice. Available for adoption to the right home. Adoption Fee $700.00 (to increase with training)
Rudy (*Needs a Halo)
Cute, 14.2hd, chestnut gelding who never left home until he was given to a neighbor and showed up in the meat pen within 24 hours. He needs a loving home and a family to make him their friend and companion. This little boy has been backed but needs training and is as willing as they come, ready for a job as a children's pony.

Ida is a big, beautiful Arabx, probably an Anglo-Arab. She stands about 16hds but has been abused. Rescued from the killpen at Camelot, she is trying to trust and love again. She needs TLC and patience to become your BFF.

Liv (*needs a Halo)
This pretty, little mare was rescued from the broker lot at New Holland prior to shipping out for meat. She appears to be western trained and is currently in rehabilitation. A loving horse who truly wants and needs a special person to call her own. This mare was badly abused and needs someone to work with her with love and patience to get her to trust again. She was pregnant when she arrived and has just had a beautiful colt. She will be available after 8/1/10. Adoption Fee $250.00

Gorgeous chestnut gelding, standing almost 16hds tall. Very well trained and ready for his own person to bond with. Mid-teens. Unregistered but purebred. This boy is amazing. Trails, penning, reining....you name it, he does it.
